Advisory work on AI means touching the processes and data that matter most. This page states our position in writing so it does not have to be negotiated twice.

Data handling

  • Client data stays in EU regions. We do not move working material outside the European Economic Area.
  • No client data is used to train third-party models. Where a vendor cannot contractually confirm this, we do not shortlist it.
  • Interview notes and documents are deleted or returned within thirty days of an engagement closing, at your election.
  • A signed data-processing agreement precedes any access to your systems.

Our EU AI Act position

  • Every use-case entering a VDB IS roadmap is classified against the EU AI Act risk bands before it is costed.
  • Readiness from day one: the AI register, transparency notices, human-review steps and named owners are written during the engagement, not after an audit letter arrives.
  • We translate the obligations into plain operational steps a ten- or hundred-person business can actually maintain, and we keep them proportionate to the risk band.
  • Limited-risk deployments get transparency obligations written into the process design: people know when a machine is involved, and synthetic output is identifiable.
  • Higher-risk categories — recruitment screening, credit decisioning, clinical applications — get the governance work before procurement, or a documented recommendation to decline.
  • You leave with an AI register and a short internal policy that a board, an auditor or a customer can be shown.

Intellectual property

Your platform, your IP. We build it, you own it.

  • We develop intellectual property for our clients, not for ourselves. There is no VDB IS product to licence.
  • Code, prompts, evaluation sets, configured or fine-tuned models, datasets and documentation are the client's property from the first day of work.
  • Everything is built and deployed inside your own cloud tenancy, under your accounts and repositories.
  • Written IP assignment and a handover pack are part of every implementation contract, not an added extra.
  • You may extend, resell or replace what we build without our involvement or permission.
